Here at Sowood Pre-School we are lucky to employ a team of highly motivated and well trained staff. The children of a number of our staff attended Sowood Pre-School prior to starting their full time education.
- Early Years Manager & Practitioner
Our Pre-School Leader Jo has been part of our setting since 2009. Jo holds a Diploma in Pre-School Practice, level 3, grade A. Jo regularly attends training courses to update and enhance her knowledge. Jo is also the deputy safeguarding lead.
- Early Years Deputy Leader & Safeguarding lead
Jen has been with the provision since September 2010 and holds an Early Years Foundation Degree and Level 6 Early Years Professional Status, Diploma in Early Years Education (NVQ Level 3), certificate in Pediatric First Aid. Jen is the safeguarding lead and has completed many courses to support her role. Jen has recently added the role of administrator to her list.
- Early Years Practitioner , Key Worker and SEND Lead
Sarah started in January 2013 and has completed her NVQ Level 3 and Food Hygiene. Sarah is the Special Educational Needs Coordinator officer here at Sowood and attends key training to support her role.
- Early years practitioner, 1:1 support
Kennedy joined us in September 2021 and is completing her level 3 alongside working with children who may need additional support. Kennedy has brought a new found enthusiasm for the role which has been infectious for all staff.
- Preschool Cook
Nicola has just joined us in October 2021 as Preschool Cook. Sher has worked in Early Years and caring roles for a number of years and has a level 3 in Childcare and has completed her Food Hygiene level 2 and allergies training. She loves cooking and trying new recipes.
