Our next Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday 13th June at 7:30pm, 1885 The Pub, Stainland.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the Sponsored Toddle and Easter Egg hunt yesterday, we’re very glad it stayed fine for us!
The total we raised from the event is £84.00 which we will be using towards some new equipment for the Preschool Room.
Our outdoor play area is having a Spring Clean and being Jet-washed on 10th April at 9am. We would like some volunteers to help us move the equipment outside out of the way in the morning, then back again when it is finished.*
Please let Jo know if you can help

In celebration of World Book Day on 2nd March 2017, we are inviting the children to dress up as their favourite characters all week and bring in a story to share with their friends.
Dear Parents & Carers
There have been a few cases of a sickness bug at preschool in the last week, and there has also been one case of chicken pox and one case of head lice.
We have given Preschool a thorough deep clean and been in touch with Public Health. Following their guidance we have closed up the Sand pit, Water Tray and Playdough table until further notice.
If your child is or has been unwell please can we ask that you keep them at home until they are fully recovered to protect the other children and staff members.
We appreciate your co-operation and support in this matter.
On Wednesday 8th March we are having a Stay & Play session from 9 until 10:30 for you to stay with your child at Preschool and share with them some of the acivities they enjoy! Refreshments will be available for a small donation.
***THERE WILL BE NO TODDLERS ON 8TH MARCH***
Next Committee Meeting will be on 14th March 2017 7:30 at 1885, Stainland
This years annual Sponsored Toddle and Easter Egg hunt will be on Sunday 2nd April at 10am down at Stainland Recreation Ground
Unfortunateley we are unable to open Preschool today, the high winds have blown a window through into the hall. We have contacted the council and this will hopefully be rectified so we can re-open tomorrow. We apologise for any inconvenience but we have to think of the safety of the children and staff.
We hope you all had a fabulous Christmas! Great to see a few new starters have jined us this year and we look forward to a brilliant 2017!
Look out for ways you can help us fundraise for our little Preschool so we can continue to provide good quality Early Years Education and Childcare for your little ones.
We are also in vital need of Parents and Carers to join our Management Committee. This group of volunteers is made up of parents past and present, and without them giving a couple of hours a week our Preschool would not be able to open. Our next meeting is Tuesday 10th January at 1885 The Pub Stainland at 7:30pm. We do hope you can come along and meet the team!
A huge thank you to all the stall holders who came along to the hall on Friday:
Magnificent Tea, Helen @ Olganna, Jean Wilkinson, Nikki Alderson (Forever Living), Chain Reaxtion, Mychalina, Sowood WI, Marleen @ Phoenix Trading, Rachel Ott, Helen @ Usborne books and Lisa @ Maelle. The stalls looked fantastic and you all had some lovely things!
Also thank you to Kate & Emma for providing massages and nails!
Unfortunately we didn’t get the crowds we had hoped for but we made it the best night we could.
If any Parent & Carers have any suggestions of fundraising events we could try in the future then please don’t hesitate to contact Tracy or Jo. We are a charity run Preschool so any extra funds we can raise will benefit your children. We cannot carry on running without your support.
Parent’s of Children ages 2,3 & 4 will have received by now an invitation to have a Flu Vaccination.
The children’s flu vaccine is offered as a yearly nasal spray to young children to protect them against flu.
Flu can be a very unpleasant illness for children with potentially serious complications, including bronchitis and pneumonia.
At what age should children have the nasal spray flu vaccine?
In the autumn/winter of 2016-17, the vaccine will be available free on the NHS for eligible children, including:
- children aged two, three and four on August 31 2016 – that is, children born between September 1 2011 and August 31 2014
- children in school years one, two and three
- in some parts of the country, all primary school-aged children will be offered the vaccine as part of a test programme
- children aged 2 to 17 with long-term health conditions
Over the next few years the programme will be extended gradually to include older children.
Who will give the children’s flu vaccination?
Children aged two, three and four years will be given the vaccination at their general practice, usually by the practice nurse.
Children that are 5 years old are also eligible for flu vaccination provided they were 4 on the 31 August 2016. These children will also be offered flu vaccination at their general practice as they will not be offered it in reception year at school.
