We have enjoyed a special visit from Stan the Lollipop Man and his puppet friends to show children how to stay safe near the road.
Jo Whiteley, Pre-School Leader said ‘Stan gave our children key road saftety advice, look, listen, hold an adults hand near the road, stay away from roads as much as possible and always wear a seatbelt in the car.’
Stan said ‘since the programme started, the number of under-fives getting hurt on the roadside is going down. The message is getting through, so much so that Calderdale Council is extending the number of visits.’
